The institute is a premier engineering and technology institution located in the state of Goa. It was established to provide high-quality technical education, research opportunities, and innovation-driven learning in various fields of engineering and science. Scope of Work

The scope of work included the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the complete Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, and Public Address System.

  1. Pump Room and Accessories
  • Supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Electric Driven Fire Pump, Diesel Engine Driven Fire Pump, Jockey Pump, Terrace Pump, and Main Fire Pump.
  • Complete with associated valves, fittings, pressure gauges, control panels, foundation work, and accessories as per approved drawings and standards.
  1. Hydrant and Sprinkler System
  • Supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of internal and external hydrant and sprinkler systems using C-class heavy-duty MS pipes.
  • Includes underground and above-ground piping network, butterfly valves, hydrant valves, hose reels, hose boxes, hose shutters, two-way fire brigade inlet, automatic air vents, water flow switches, pendent-type sprinklers, ball valves, mild steel supports, and NP2 class hume pipes for underground routing.
  1. First Aid Fire Extinguishers, Signages, and Documentation
  • Supply and installation of portable fire extinguishers including ABC type, CO₂ type, and fire buckets as per standard requirements.
  • Installation of fire and safety signages at designated locations.
  • Conduct testing, inspection, and documentation, including as-built drawings, test reports, and handover manuals.
  1. Fire Alarm System
    Supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of addressable fire alarm system including:
  • Addressable smoke detectors, heat detectors, fault isolator modules, manual pull stations, monitor modules, control relay modules, sounders/hooters, and beam-type smoke detectors (Easy Beam).
  • Complete with FRLS armoured cabling, junction boxes, and accessories as per design and standards.
  1. Public Address System
  • Supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of two-way public address and talkback communication system including:
    • Booster amplifier (240 W)
    • Talkback speakers
    • Controller unit with built-in power supply
    • Zone selector units and terminal blocks
  • Integration with the fire alarm system for emergency announcements and evacuation alerts.

Conclusion

All works related to the Fire Fighting System, Fire Alarm System, and Public Address System have been successfully supplied, installed, tested, and commissioned. The systems have been thoroughly inspected and verified as per approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards. The installation is now fully operational, safe, and ready for use, ensuring reliable fire protection and emergency communication within the facility.
